Driving Leads

You can build a fan page for your business on Facebook and invite people to “like” it.  You can write a paragraph about your company on Linkedin and ask your employees to link to it. However, when it comes to driving leads within a social network, most sites seek to fit the need of the individual, not the business enterprise.

Company.com connects the key constituents of your business – employees, clients, partners and prospects – to your company within an environment that properly positions your products, services, and expertise in order to attract prospective clients and partners.

More importantly, the database and search logic help people quickly find businesses providing a particular product or service, deals and promotions, or the answers to pressing business questions.

To keep you informed as conversations and opportunities start to build, Company.com can automatically notify you of those discussions and opportunities which are most relevant to you. For example if you have an expertise in “Credit Card Processing,” you can receive a notification when a subscriber asks a question like “I am considering taking credit cards, where do I start?”

There are many ways to drive leads using Company.com. Here are some steps to best position your company in Company.com.

Step One – Be found.
Complete your personal profile, paying special attention to areas of expertise and your work history.  At minimum, add your current employer so that your personal profile is connected to your business’s profile. Your areas of expertise will tell the system which topics are most relevant to you.

Complete your business profile page, taking care to complete the “Product Categories” and “Specialties” areas. This will allow the system to place your company in the proper directory listings and route any relevant questions from other subscribers.

Step Two – Connect and Follow.
After your profiles are built you can connect to people and follow businesses. As opportunities and discussions start to develop through your network, your activity feed will automatically keep you informed.

Step Three – Participate.
When’s the best time to engage a prospect? Before they start talking with your competitors. Company.com can automatically route relevant questions to you and your businesses from subscribers that may be evaluating solutions to a challenge you can solve. Relevant questions from the Q&A will be routed to your inbox, take the time to respond.

If your company has a position or a philosophy that has value to your clients, let it show by answering Q&A, commenting on articles and best practices, and providing a status feed that maintains the interest of your followers (see below).

Step Four – Be a Leader and a Follower.
Most stores have some kind of email list of customers so that those customers can receive updates and information related to that company. As a Company.com subscriber you'll be able to follow companies you like, have worked with, or would like to work with. You will be notified when the company posts an update, has a deal, or establishes a new partnership. Build a following for your company and increase your customer reach.

Encourage your key constituents to register and follow your company.  By simply clicking “Follow Company” on your business profile page, interested parties’ activity feeds will receive news updates, promotions and deals, and other items related to your company.

When someone starts to follow your company, people connected to that follower will see the event in their own activities feed, drawing further downstream interest. When you start following a ABC Company, your connections see it and ask, "Who are they?”

In addition, the larger the number of your followers, the more effective your partner relationships can be.  (See below)

Step Five - Be a Partner.
The partnering function of Company.com allows your business to post to the activity feed of one of your partnering companies.  For example, if you have a partner with 1,000 followers, with their permission, you can deliver an item, most often a promotion, to their followers. Likewise you can return the favor and allow them to post an item to your followers.

Step Six – Promote Your Company.
When you are ready to enhance your placement in directory listings, product grids, and other areas, simply click on the “Promote” option under the Profile menu. You will be presented with the option of placing bids for more prominent placement within key areas in our community.
