out a "DECREE" that states that the House has been given to one of the Parties along with the Mortgage. 4 1/2 years later the Mortgage Co forecloses on the Person that the Property Originally was Sold to . . . My question is in this state shouldn't the Mortgage Company be going after the Person that the Property was awarded to by "Court Order"? The Mortgage was also awarded to the Person by Court Order for her to take Responsibility as of 2006, February. What can I do to correct this Mistake . . . before it forecloses on the "WRONG" Person? PLEASE HELP Bill Teter

Bill The first step should be to contact the mortgage company to explain the situation to them, and ask if there's any paperwork that you need to file in order to make things move smoothly. It looks like the problem is that your name is still on the mortgage, even if it's not on the title to the house anymore.
