A Performance Appraisal is an evaluation of how well a particularly employee has been fulfilling the duties of his or her job. Job performance both good and bad is documented and at strategic intervals throughout the year, performance appraisal is performed either in a formal or informal manner. Sometimes, pay increases are tied to performance appraisals. Employers may call performance appraisals different things, such as reviews, evaluations, or development discussions.
