What is a Wellness Program?
A Wellness Program is a benefit offered by employers designed to help increase the wellness and good health of employees. Research has shown that healthy employees are less stressed and more productive, so offering a wellness program can make great sense for an organization. Wellness programs are non-traditional benefits and are generally “newer” forms of compensation. Wellness programs can range from gym memberships and on-site exercise equipment to seminars and educational programs on health. A wellness program may also include offering healthy snack or meal options to employees.
